TransJakarta to Operate from Bekasi in February
TEMPO.COJakarta - The Bekasi City administration in West Java claimed the busway—or TransJakarta—route from Bekasi to Pulogadung will begin operating by the end of February next year. The city is currently developing the infrastructure for the seven-kilometer lane from Bekasi to Jakarta. "It is targeted to be completed by the end of February 2014 and will immediately be launched," said head of the Bekasi Transportation Agency, Supandi Budiman, on Sunday. "TransJakarta from Pulogadung will connect to East Jakarta, and then enter Bekasi City," added Supandi. The construction of the Bekasi–Pulogadung route used up Rp67 billion of the city’s budget. ADI WARSONO
