Barcelona to Build New Mega Stadium
TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Barcelona hit the news headline as the club plans to contruct a new stadium, replacing the magical Nou Camp as its home turf. Barcelona spokesman Toni Freixa has announced that Barcelona's new stadium will have a capacity of 105,000.
Blaugrana itself has named L'Estadi Nou Camp as its home from 1957. The new stadium is likley to take place in Diagonal area, downtown Barcelona.
"This is a complex subject made up of many elements, a decision that is vitally important, because it affects the club's future stadium for the next 50 years. We will make a decision in January," said Freixa.
Freixa is yet to announce the budget for the new stadium. However, he ensured that the mega-project will not interrupt Barca's financial balance.
